This article explains how you pay for Submittal.App and where to manage your plan.
How pricing works
You pay in submittal packages. One package is one finished submittal. After you build it, everything inside it is free. You can edit it, make a new PDF, share it, and get review comments at no extra cost. If you rebuild the same document in the same conversation, you are not charged again.
Plans
- Free — $0. 3 packages every month. 1 seat. No card needed.
- Starter — $25 per seat each month. 5 packages per seat. Your team shares the packages. Adds AI Quotes, AI Purchase Orders, the Procurement Log, and the AI submittal check.
- Pro — $149 a month. 40 packages. 5 seats included.
- Team — $349 a month. 150 packages, shared by the team. 10 seats included. Adds the Procurement Agent and order tracking. Removes the Submittal.app branding from your PDFs.
- Enterprise — custom price. Contact us. No Submittal.app branding on your PDFs.
You can also pay once a year. The year price is lower: Starter $240 per seat, Pro $1,430, Team $3,350.
Free trial: paid plans start with a 7-day free trial. You need a card. You get one trial per customer.
Buy packages as you go
You can buy packages one time, with no plan. They never expire. They add on top of any plan, even Free.
- 5 packages — $30
- 15 packages — $80
- 40 packages — $200
- 100 packages — $450
Buy them on the plans page, under Or pay as you go. On a free account, you can also click the Upgrade button at the top of the app.
What happens when I run out?
Your monthly packages are used first. Then your bought packages are used.
- If you have a card on file, your build is never stopped. Each extra package is charged to your card right away. On a paid plan, you pay your plan's rate (your monthly price divided by your packages, for example $149 ÷ 40 on Pro). With no plan, each extra package is $6.
- If you have no card on file, the Builder pauses before it builds. Your work is saved. Buy a 5-pack or pick a plan, and the same build finishes.
Your monthly packages reset each month. Bought packages carry over.
See your usage
- Go to Settings.
- Click the Usage tab.
- The Submittal Packages card shows how many you used, how many are left, your Plan / month, Bonus, and Purchased packs.
The AI Activity card is for your info only. You are not billed for it.
Manage your plan and card
- Go to Settings.
- Click the Billing tab.
- You see your Current Plan, Payment Method, and Invoice History.
- Click Change Plan, Cancel, or Update Payment Method. These open the secure Stripe billing page.
- Click View all in Stripe to see every invoice.
No plan yet? The app takes you to the plans page so you can pick one.
Common questions
Does a package ever expire?
Packages you buy never expire. Monthly plan packages reset each month.
Does refining a submittal cost a package?
No. Edits, new PDFs, and sharing a package you already built are free.
How do I add a seat?
Go to Settings → Team and click Add a seat. See the "Team members" article.
Can I remove the Submittal.app branding from my cover page?
Yes. The Team plan and the Enterprise plan take the Submittal.app text off every page of your submittal: the cover, the product pages, and the back cover. Your own logo and company name stay. Free, Starter, and Pro show a small "Submittal.app" mark. To remove it, upgrade to Team: go to Settings → Billing and click Change Plan.
