Import Products

Import lets AI read your files and turn them into products, so you don't type them in by hand.

Two ways to import

  • Quick import (from the Products page). Click Import Products on the Products page. A window opens with three tabs:
    • Upload — drop cut sheet or submittal package PDFs. Mark each file as Cutsheet or Package. Click Extract.
    • Quote or schedule — drop a quote, PO, or fixture schedule (PDF, Excel, or CSV). The AI pulls out every product line. Check the rows and click Add products.
    • Search catalog — describe a product. Pick the matches and click Import to library.
  • Full Import page. Use this for spec books and drawings. In the quick import window, click Spec books & drawings — full Import page.

The full Import page

A bar at the top shows each step: Uploading, Analyzing, Extracting Products, and Complete.

You can add files two ways:

  • From Computer — PDF, Excel (.xlsx), CSV, Word (.docx), PNG, or JPG.
  • Import from cloud — pick PDFs from Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. See "Import from the cloud."

For each file, pick what kind of file it is:

  • Cut Sheet / Data Sheet
  • Spec Book / Project Manual
  • Architectural Drawing
  • Specification Table / Schedule
  • Submittal Package

After it is done

A table shows the products it found. Check the ones you want. Then click Save to Catalog or Create Submittal. See "Review extracted products."

Past imports are listed under Import History. Click one to open it again.
