Edit a Product

What it does

The Edit Product modal lets you update a product's metadata and replace its cutsheet PDF.

How to edit a product

1. Go to the Product Details page by clicking on any product in your catalog.
2. Click the Edit button (pencil icon) in the top right.
3. The Edit Product modal opens with these editable fields:
   • Title (required) — the product name.
   • Manufacturer — with autocomplete from your project's existing manufacturers.
   • Part Numbers — comma-separated part or model numbers.
   • Group — with autocomplete from existing groups.
   • Quantity and Unit.
   • Description — free-text description.
4. To replace the PDF, click the upload area or drag a new PDF file onto it. Only PDF files are accepted. If a PDF is already attached, the upload area will say "Click to replace existing PDF".
5. Click Save Changes to apply your edits.

Things to know

• The Title field is required. You cannot save with an empty title.
• Uploading a new PDF replaces the existing one permanently.
• For quick edits to title, quantity, or unit, you can also use inline editing directly on the Products list page.
