The product card is the list of products in your submittal, on the Sheet tab of the Submittal Builder.
What you see
Each row is one product. The columns are:
- Type — the product's code, like FC-06. Codes always show in capital letters.
- Product — the description and the manufacturer.
- Part number — each part of the order code, in its own box.
- Qty — how many. This column only shows if quantities are turned on.
The card shows the first 7 products. Click the Show more button at the bottom to see the rest.
Edit a row
- Click the Type, the description, the manufacturer, or the Qty.
- Type the new text.
- Press Enter to save. Press Esc to cancel.
Find and filter
- All — shows every product.
- Needs review — shows only products with a problem.
- The search box (Type, maker or part #) finds products as you type.
- + Add — add a new product. Search the catalog, or upload your own cut sheet PDF.
Things to check
When the Builder is done, it checks each product. A product with a problem turns yellow. A box at the top says how many things to check. Click Review, or the Needs review filter, to see just those rows. You may see:
- No part number yet. Click Add part number.
- Looks like a file name, not an order code. Click Edit part numbers.
- Options not selected yet, like FINISH or COLOR. Click Edit part numbers and pick the real option.
- Out of A–Z order. Click Sort A–Z, drag the row where it goes, or click Dismiss if you want it there.
If you sort by Manufacturer, Description, or Part number, the Builder will not flag the A–Z order.
Flags on part numbers
Part number boxes with a dashed yellow border are flagged. Blue boxes have a note. Point at a box to read its note or flag.
Change the order
- Drag: grab the dots on the left of a row. Drag it up or down. You can also press Alt and the arrow keys.
- Sort: click the sort button (the up and down arrows). Pick Type (A–Z), Manufacturer (A–Z), Description (A–Z), or Part number (A–Z).
A new submittal starts in A–Z order by Type. When you open an old one, it keeps your order. The PDF prints in the same order as the card.
Show or hide columns
Click the gear button (Configure table). Then check or uncheck:
- Show quantity — this also changes the printed PDF.
- Show product image — shows an image box on each row. Click the box to upload an image.
- Show configuration fields — shows your company's custom fields under each product. You only see this if your company has custom fields.
Product images are off unless your Doc Template turns them on.
Set the review stamp
Click the status chip in the toolbar. Pick Draft — no stamp, Approved, Approved as noted, Revise & resubmit, or Rejected.

Click a product's part numbers, or the ⋯ button on its row. A window opens for that one product.
