What it does
Create a Quote with AI turns the fixtures and pricing already in your project into a complete, formatted quote — without filling out a form line by line. You ask for it in the Submittal Builder chat and the AI assembles the line items, applies your pricing, and produces a quote you can review, edit, and send.
How to do it
- Open Submittal Builder from the sidebar.
- Make sure you are in the right project (the Builder will ask if it is unsure).
- Type: "Create a quote with AI for this project."
- Press Enter to send.
What the AI handles
- Line items — pulls the project's fixtures and quantities into the quote.
- Pricing — applies documented unit costs and any markup you have set.
- Grouping & formatting — organizes the quote into a clean, send-ready document.
Narrow the scope
You can be as specific as you like. For example:
- "Create a quote with AI for just the L-type fixtures."
- "Quote everything from Lithonia in this project."
- "Build a quote and apply a 15% markup."
After it is created
- Review & edit — adjust quantities, pricing, or notes before sending.
- Generate PDF — produce a branded quote document.
- Turn it into POs — ask the Builder to "create purchase orders from this quote."
Tip: if the Builder is missing pricing for some items, it will tell you which ones so you can fill the gaps and re-run.
