This article shows how to pick the right cutsheet for each product before the Builder makes your package.
When the Submittal Builder finds cutsheets, it shows them on the right side of the Builder, in the Select tab. The panel is called Verify & pick the right cutsheet.
This is not the same as the Cutsheet Search tool in the sidebar. In the Builder you pick cutsheets right here on the right side.
How it works
- Ask the Builder to build the submittal or find cutsheets. It finds matches for your products.
- The right side shows one row for each product. Each row shows the cutsheets the Builder found.
- Click the eye button on a cutsheet to preview it.
- Click a cutsheet to pick it. A check mark shows your pick.
- Wrong match? Click Refine on that row. Type a hint, like "wrong manufacturer, it should be Acuity." Click Refine search. The Builder searches again just for that product.
- Have your own cutsheet? Click the upload button on the row and pick a PDF.
- No cutsheet found? Click Generate spec page to make a placeholder page. Swap in the real cutsheet later.
- Want to leave a product out? Click Remove on its row. Click Undo to bring it back.
- You can change the Submittal name at the top.
- When every row looks right, click Confirm & assemble. The Builder builds the package with your picks.
While the Select tab is open, the other view tabs are hidden. They come back when you finish.
Common questions
It says "pick the right match in the Select panel on the right." Look at the right side of the Builder. Click the Select tab if it is not open. Find the product's row there.
The right side is showing a sheet from a different product. Each product has its own row. Look at the row for the product you are working on. If it still looks wrong, refresh the page and open the Select tab again.
A row says "Same document as row ..." Two products are using the same cutsheet. Check that the sheet really covers both. If not, use Refine, upload your own, or Remove.
I don't see a Cutsheet Search tab. You don't need one in the Builder. Cutsheets are picked on the right side of the Builder.
I picked the wrong cutsheet after the package was built. Click the product's part numbers on the card, then click Swap cut sheet.
