Submittal Editor

The Submittal Editor lets you look at each product's sheet in a submittal, mark it up, and fix its details.

Open the editor

Go to the Submittals page. Then do one of these:

  • Click the eye icon (Open in editor) on a row.
  • Open the detail panel and click Open editor.
  • In the detail panel's Products tab, click a product card. The editor opens on that product.

Click Review at the top left to go back to the Submittals page.

Pick a product

On the right, use the Designations menu to switch between products.

Under it, Package order lists every product in the package:

  • Click the up or down arrow (Move up, Move down) to change the order.
  • Click the trash icon (Remove from package) to take a product out. The app asks you first.

Move around the sheet

  • Use the arrow buttons to go to the first, back, next, or last page.
  • Type a page number in the box to jump to it.
  • Use - and + to zoom out and in.

Mark up the sheet

  1. Pick a tool: Select, Pen, Highlighter, Text, Rectangle, or Arrow.
  2. Click the color button to pick a color: Yellow, Pink, Blue, Green, Orange, Red, or Black.
  3. Draw on the page.

Markups save on their own. The app adds them to the submittal PDF for you a moment later.

The Details tab

  • Part Numbers shows the product's part numbers.

  • Product Fields shows only when your template has them. They print on your Finishes schedule.

After you change details, the Regenerate button turns orange. Click it to rebuild the PDF with your changes.

The Markups tab

Common questions

Why is Regenerate gray?

You have no unsaved detail changes. Markups don't need it. They are added for you.

Why does the page number differ from the full PDF?

The editor shows one product's sheet at a time. "Sheet p.2" means page 2 of that product's sheet, not of the whole package.
